I've been using this swivel head for about a year now. Even after all of that time it's still functions really well and very smooth. The knobs are very easy to control. The graduated tension of the ball is well calibrated. Overall solid tool.

I have been shopping for a heavy duty tripod for outdoor photography. While my gear is fairly light, I wanted something that would minimize vibration and shake in the wind or shooting in water environments. The versatility of the tripod is excellent, It is solid, easy to adjust and setup, surprisingly light for the size. It has a nice carring case that I use when it's riding in the back of the car. The case will accommodate both the tripod and the matching ball head that I also purchased.

This tripod and head are very sturdy, stiff and lightweight. Exactly what I was looking for in a tripod. I am using this with and 8x10 Chamonix camera with wet plate backs.
